In the past couple of months, I've had an archery lesson, went bowling for the first time in years and successfully completed my first camping trip as a something. I also tried my luck with golf at a driving range, completed my first ever escape game and took my boyfriend to a float spa. This is an idea I just heard about that I have to share with you! The idea is to start at the beginning of the alphabet and take turns planning a date around that letter. There are obviously 26 letters in the alphabet, so this is a good half a year or more of creative date nights.
Alphabet dating is, quite simply, the idea where you go through each letter of the alphabet and plan a date around that letter. So now once a month, we will plan a fun date based on whatever letter of the alphabet is next in the sequence. I adored the Alice in Wonderland pop-up book and would have loved to look through that but sadly all of the items on display were kept safely in glass display cases.
Even though we did complete our goal, it may have been too ambitious of a goal. It stressed us both out to find something completely new every week that it became more about the idea than the actual date. This year, we still want to keep things fresh and interesting and not default to a standard dinner and a movie or netflix and chill, but we realized having some repeat dates are perfectly fine too. No need to stress!
